Odd Eye Circle Album Design
Odd Eye Circle is a K-pop trio with members Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry. For this project, an art direction and album packaging were created for their newest, full-album comeback “New Justice”.
Client Request
Odd Eye Circle (OEC) is a globally famous K-pop girl group with music based on genres such as Jersey Club, Synth-pop, Dream Pop, and R&B. The group’s concept is based on lunar and space concepts, with each member having an “odd eye” and representative colors and animals.
Recently, the trio won a legal battle against their former agency due to negligence and lack of artistic freedom. Because of this, the girls want their new creative freedom and empowerment to show through their upcoming album.
Project Objective
Create an album design that encapsulates a feeling of renowned strength and freedom while showing Odd Eye Circle’s unique charms.
Project Deliverables
- Album Packaging

Album Design
New Justice is an album all about confidence and reaching new heights. Because Odd Eye Circle now has more freedom over their creative decisions, the album concept depicts the trio as literal space goddesses that have full control over the galaxy. OEC’s music is quite atmospheric, with many callbacks to space and galaxies, which is why the celestial-beings concept matches their aesthetic and branding.
Physical Album Packaging
To reinforce the concept of new-found strength, the album is formatted as a well-structured, sturdy box set with a magnetic latch for secure CD storage.
CD Design
One of the core branding aspects of Odd Eye Circle is their imagery based on space. To continue the idea of celestial space giants, the CD is designed to become a small moon that the listener can hold within their hands. This is a call-back to the album cover. To prevent the CD from moving around in the album box, a CD holder was created for it to be secured on.
Lyric + Photobook
In the lyric/photo book, the moon girls can be seen as celestial giants. Each member has their own representative color, which is seen on their member-specific page.
Collectable Photocards
In K-pop, collecting photo cards is part of the fan culture. To show gratitude towards the fans, these member cards are included into albums as a special addition.
