The Metamorphosis Book Design

By Franz Kafka, The Metamorphosis is a strange story about a man who unexpectedly and unexplainably wakes up as a large insect one morning. The former human has to deal with the obscure conflict as his family begins to turn on him. To emphasize this unusual, freak event, a book cover was created to support the feeling of loneliness and fear that the main character goes through in the story. The interior design of the book was done in a manner to give the old published story a new reincarnation for the modern reader. The design is sleek, simple, and a bit empty; this also support the lonely theme of the tale.
